Yilong Ma, PhD, is a Professor at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. Dr. Ma is a biophysicist with specialized expertise in the implementation and validation of rigorous neuroimaging methodology for the mechanistic studies of neurodegenerative disorders with both multi-tracer PET and multi-spectrum MRI data. In recent years he has begun to apply this multi-modality and multi-tracer imaging methodology to preclinical studies in disease models of small animals and non-human primates. Dr. Ma has also been playing a leading role in coordinating a series of imaging-based research projects in multi-center collaborations.

Dr. Ma received his PhD in biomedical engineering at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University, Montreal, Canada, in 1998. He subsequently joined the Functional Brain Imaging Laboratory at The Feinstein in 1999 and contributed significantly to the success of patient-oriented research studies funded by NIH at the Center for Neurosciences. Dr. Ma is the author of more than 70 peer-reviewed publications and is a regular reviewer for many high-impact journals in the imaging field.
